Players must buy a Riding Map for each separate area using Allied Seals (2.0 zones) or Centurio Seals (3.0 zones & 4.0 zones) to gain the speed enhancement in the zone associated with the map. Middle La Noscea, Lower La Noscea, Central Shroud, East Shroud, Western Thanalan, Central Thanalan The Shadowbringers Riding Map system is similar to the Enhancement II upgrades for all 2.0 through 4.0 zones, however Shadowbringers zones only have the (1) single speed Enhancement upgrade via Riding Maps purchased with Bicolor Gemstones, instead of receiving one speed upgrade from the MSQ, and then another via Allied/Centurio seals as in all previous expansions.Ĭompleting the following Main Scenario Quests will unlock the first speed enhancement for one or more associated areas. The speed enhancement for Shadowbringers (5.0) zones is only acquired through Riding Maps Which can be purchased for Bicolor Gemstones from Gemstone Traders in each area that can have a speed increase. The speed enhancement available for all areas can be confirmed via the Mount Speed window under Travel in the Main Menu. The speed of mounts is limited in certain areas: Enhancement I is limited in 4.0 areas / Residential Districts / Idyllshire All mounts have the same base movement speed increase.
